Hi friends, family ni hao ma ( how are you today in Chinese!) this is my room it's theme is a jungle because it reminds me of MONKEYS! I miss yall very much! Maybe we can show you pictures of our friends here tomorrow. Right now Ethan is doing things that my dad says to do in chinese. Our friends gave us a real book they made and it teaches us how to do Chinese so we will probably do it every night . We are getting up bright and early so mommy and daddy can go to work and me and Ethan get babysitter ( they don't sit on us trust me) the three girls that babysit us are really nice. Oh and just to let you know national day is on Thursday so yeah. It's Singapores 47th birthday. Bye ( si gian)
Hi Laney ! I love your room ! It's so pretty, and the jungle theme is a great idea. We think it is so cool that you are learning Chinese - your Mom used to laugh at the few Chinese words I would say :-) Do you have a holiday on National Day ? How is Callie.

Hi Laney, I also love your room and hope you continue to write and tell all about your new home and school! Have fun on National day!

Laney, your room is beautiful. Pretty cool that you've made it your own so quickly. I'm going to write a sentence in English and then copy/paste it into http://translate.google.com and see what it looks and sounds like in Chinese. Here goes:

You'll have to click the link and copy/paste it into the translate box to see what it says. ;-)

Laney,
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to come see your room this fall.

We love your room Laney! Kylar typed a long comment and when she went to publish it disappeared. She said that the room you have now is her dream room. She has always wanted a bunk bed with a desk underneath! :)
ReplyDeleteWe miss you so much!
Love, Nikie
Hi Laney --- LOVE your room! :-) It looks so "YOU"! I must admit that when I saw how many snakes you were gathering I thought it would be too many to take ...but they look perfect. And, I love your descriptions of everything...especially Callie. She looks content & happy. Can't wait to see pictures of the sitters... and can't believe you've seen Ice Age already -- even before Jacob & I have seen it! I'm writing down everything you're saying in Chinese & I'm going to practice -- so when I see you I can say 'ni hao ma', etc. Anxious to hear about your new school & how it compares to C.H. Jacob begins Aug. 20th. Love to all. xoxo Grandmom
ReplyDeleteHi Laney. I love your room and I love that you are learning Chinese. It looks like you are settling in. I can't wait to hear all about your new school and all the new adventures you and the rest of the family have. Take care!!
